WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: This course will provide you with the critical context for why cultivating more female investors matters, followed by introducing the eight key principles of angel investing. We will cover how to become an angel investor, and explore both the risks and potential rewards. The class will include a presentation by three entrepreneurs, with an opportunity to test screening criteria right for you, and walk away with an understanding of the most critical questions to ask each entrepreneur and their company. You’ll understand cap tables, key elements of term sheets, and even how to think about the valuation of a deal. A good company, good product, good team, good market, may still not be a good deal for an angel investor. Join us to learn why, how to think about what deals and opportunities may be right for you, and build relationships with other local “angels.”
TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:
Basic principles of angel investing
Why angel investing matters for women
Process and principles of due diligence
How to read cap tables, term sheets, and deal valuation
