WE’RE RECRUITING:
New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) Program Intern
The New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) Programs Internship will involve working with The Idea Village team on the execution of showcases, pitch competitions, satellite events, and other content being presented at NOEW 2024. This position will work with the programs department on special projects from November 2023 through the end of data collection and debriefing of NOEW in April/May 2024.
Duties and Responsibilities
Draft and monitor applications for entrepreneurial showcases and content presentations
Participate and take detailed notes in meetings that bring together stakeholders from across the entrepreneurial ecosystem
Correspond with participating organizations as questions arise, proactively communicate with partners as deadlines for materials approach
Support plannings for signage and merchandise throughout the weeklong experience; research potential purchase items with detailed notes about pricing, delivery timing, etc.
Become knowledgeable on logistical aspects of NOEW and fully participate in the execution of the week (March 11th - 16th)
Compile data that can be used in final reporting and future sponsorship / grant applications
Qualifications:
Demonstrates excellent command of editorial standards, along with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Proactively monitors the progress of multiple projects by tracking activities and outcomes
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exhibits a high level of professionalism
Demonstrates leadership, maturity, and accountability
Experience with Slack and Google Suite

Expectations:
This is an unpaid internship, with the opportunity to grow with the organization over time
10-15 hours per week is expected; Most interns set up a schedule for 2-3 afternoons per week in-office, with additional work completed remotely
A minimum 4-month commitment is requested; a custom contract can be structured with your direct supervisor
You will be expected to work on your own laptop; additional technology may be available to support your work while in-office
