Founder Fridays is a series that spotlights VILLAGEx founders and their startups
Conway Solomon is a professional event producer turned entrepreneur. His passion for events goes back to high school when he started working with his family’s event production company in New Orleans. Learning the ins and outs of events, Solomon quickly grew interested in the events industry at a young age. Years later, Solomon honed his interest into the event technology space. Today, he is the founder and CEO of event technology startup, WRSTBND.
WRSTBND is a technology solution for event planners to have seamless ticketing, credentials, cashless payments, event access control, and much more. Solomon has reimagined and revolutionized complex event processing technology.
Thanks to WRSTBND and its technology, the team has helped produce some of the biggest events in the nation, including Essence Festival, Austin City Limits, NBA Awards, College Football National Championships, and many more.
According to WRSTBND’s website, WRSTBND was born out of the need for reliable, sophisticated, and flexible technology that can manage some of the country’s largest events.
By the end of 2021, WRSTBND, a VILLAGEx 2022 startup, had 12 full-time staff members and had already generated $1.5 million in yearly revenue, according to an article on Hypepotamus. Solomon will be pitching WRSTBND at Demo Day 2022 at Crescent Park on May 4th, along with 11 other founders of leading #NOLAtech startups.
