GREEN ENTREPRENEURS
The Idea Village’s Green Initiative was developed in collaboration with Blue Moon Fund and Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation to support entrepreneurs who recognize the need and the opportunity to elevate New Orleans as a leader in innovation and environmentally sustainable business models.
The Idea Village is currently executing on work with clients from a variety of sectors in the green business community.
504WARD TALENT RETENTION ENTREPRENEURS
The Idea Village and 504ward announced the winners of its $225,000 valued business competition for entrepreneurs with business ideas that retain and engage the 23 – 35 year old demographic in New Orleans.
The winner, PlayNOLA, and second-place winner LaunchPad are housed in the IP, the new home to The Idea Village and several start-up companies in downtown New Orleans.

URBAN REDEVELOPMENT ENTREPRENEURS
The Idea Village, in partnership with Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.), launched a business competition for the Urban Redevelopment Innovation Fund to provide $1,000,000 in pre-development resources, living stipends and technical support exclusively for CUREx Fellows to start ventures that identify and address critical barriers to affordable housing.
The Idea Village is currently working with the three winners of the competition, Sustainable Environmental Enterprises, Alternative Housing Support Corporation, and Spark InSite(s) to develop and execute their business models.
